Secret Santa tech gifts

A good Secret Santa tech gift has to work for someone you may not know well: useful, easy to set up and not too personal. A JBL Go 4 speaker pairs with any phone, Govee smart bulbs add colour to a room, a Rocketbook is a fun reusable notebook for the office, and the Logitech Pebble Keys 2 is a slim keyboard that works with laptops, tablets and phones. If you know they use an iPhone, an Apple AirTag is a popular pick. Check your exchange’s spending limit against today’s price on Amazon, since prices change. This guide has 6 picks.

Heads up: we earn a commission when you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what makes the list. We don’t show star ratings or prices; picks are in editorial order, and each one lists what reviewers love and the most common complaint, in our own words.

How we pick: we read customer-review summaries for every pick, drop anything with repeat durability complaints and show the most common complaint. How we pick
